Tango Talks! (El tango nos habla)

La letra de este tango nos refiere a que cuando se ama en exceso y a la persona equivocada, ese mismo amor nos hace dejarla ir, quedando condenados a continuar amando y sentir la sombra de ese amor por siempre.

The lyrics of the song tells us that when we love too much to the wrong person, that same love makes us let him/her go, being us condemned to continue to love and feel the shadow of that love forever.

Fernán Silva Valdés fue un poeta, compositor y dramaturgo uruguayo, aparte escribió tangos como este en los finales de la Época De Oro. Fue miembro de la Academia Nacional de Letras del Uruguay. En los primeros meses de 1972 le fue conferido el Gran Premio Nacional de Literatura.

Fernán Silva Valdés was a poet, composer and an Uruguayan playwright, also wrote tangos ike this one in the late Golden Age. He was a member of the National Academy of Letters of Uruguay. In early 1972 he was awarded the Grand National Prize for Literature.

Su orquesta expresaba un tango clásico, sencillo, muy rítmico, quizás de no tanto valor musical pero tremendamente popular. Tenía un aire a D’Arienzo y sus discos eran muy vendidos.

His orchestra expressed a classic tango very rhythmic , simple, perhaps with not so much musical value but highly popular. Had a D' Arienzo’s resemblance and his records were always a boom.

La etapa más brillante de su orquesta fue entre los años 1953 y 1960, en al que se destacaban sus voces femeninas, primero la mejor cancionista de su país: Nina Miranda, luego Olga Delgrossi quien actuó con él durante siete años. 

The brightest stage of his orchestra was between 1953 and 1960, with great female voices, first the best singer of his country stood out: Nina Miranda, and later Olga Delgrossi who performed with him for seven years.

Donato Racciatti contribuyó a la vigencia del tango bailable y popular, con tremendo éxito desde el punto de vista comercial y muy requerido en Argentina, toda América y en Japón.
