Daríamos todo por no perder esas ilusiones… hasta nuestra vida si fuera necesario. El tango nos lo muestra de esta manera… y vaya que manera!

Héctor Marcó (1906 - 1987)

A Carlos Di Sarli se lo presentó Cayetano Puglisi. Di Sarli le elogió “Alma mía” y ya conocía “Callejón” y “Que Nunca Me Falte”. Le preguntó si quería colaborar con él. Fueron a un bar de Tucumán y Maipú y comenzó a tararearle un tango. Enseguida Marcó le dijo el nombre: «Se va a llamar “Corazón”». Lo grabaron Roberto Rufíno el 11 de diciembre de 1939 y, quince años más tarde, Mario Pomar, el 2 de febrero de 1955. 

He was introduced to Carlos Di Sarli by Cayetano Puglisi. Di Sarli praised so much "Alma mía" and he already knew "Callejón" and "Que Nunca Me Falte". Di Sarli asked if he wanted to work with him, so hey went to a bar in Tucumán and Maipú and the Maestro began humming a tango; Marcó immediately said the name: "It will be called "Corazón". Roberto Rufino recorded it on December 11, 1939 and, fifteen years later, Mario Pomar, on February 2, 1955.

Después de la primera grabación, estando en el estudio, Di Sarli dejó el piano y le dijo: «Lo felicito. Si usted quiere podemos ser colaboradores de ahora en adelante». A partir de eso siguieron “Alma Mía” que había hecho con Diego Centeno, y “En Un Beso La Vida”, con música de Di Sarli, grabadas con Rufino ambas.

After the first recording, while in the studio, Di Sarli left the piano and said: "Congratulations. If you want, we can be partners from now on”. From that followed "Alma Mía" that had done with Diego Centeno, and "En Un Beso La Vida", with music of Di Sarli, recorded with Rufino both.

Luego siguieron el vals “Rosamel”, el tango “Bien Frappé”, “Nido Gaucho”, “Cuando El Amor Muere” , “Acuérdate De Mí”, “Esta Noche De Luna” , “Tú El Cielo y Tú” , “Tu Intimo Secreto”, “Tus Labios Me Dirán” y muchísimos otros exitos.

Then they followed the waltz "Rosamel", the tango "Bien Frappé", "Nido Gaucho", "Cuando El Amor Muere", "Acuérdate De Mí", "Esta Noche De Luna", "Tú El Cielo y Tú”, “Tu Intimo Secreto", “Tus Labios Me Dirán" and many other successes.

Como puede verse ha sido Marcó el letrista emblemático de Carlos Di Sarli. Fue un poeta sencillo pero muy sensible al comportamiento humano, buen pintor costumbrista, de versos directos, implicando personajes y situaciones cotidianas.

As it can be seen, Marcó was the emblematic lyricist of Carlos Di Sarli. He was a simple poet but very sensitive to human behavior, a good painter of the human character, with direct verses, implying characters and everyday situations.
